Golf Cart IQ ("we", "us", "our") operates the website and application at valuemygolfcart.com. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information we collect, how we use that information, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Information We May Collect

• Name — when you submit a lead, valuation, or dealer inquiry.
• Email address — to deliver valuation reports, re-engagement updates (with consent), and lead responses.
• Phone number — when you provide it on a lead, commercial, or dealer form.
• ZIP Code — used to factor regional market demand into valuations and to match you with nearby dealers or inventory.
• Vehicle information — brand, model, year, seating, power type, battery details, lift status, street-legal status, accessories, and condition, which you provide to generate a valuation.
• Golf cart serial number — when you use the scanner or identification tools to help identify your vehicle.
• VIN — where applicable and voluntarily provided for LSV/street-legal vehicles. VINs are not publicly displayed.
• Photos — when you upload photos to a valuation report or listing. Photos are displayed only where you choose to share or publish them.
• Valuation information — the inputs and results of valuations you run, including estimated values and confidence scores.
• Lead form information — inquiries you submit about inventory, trade-ins, financing, or commercial/fleet needs.
• Dealer account information — business name, contact name, email, phone, address, website, logo, and subscription details for dealers who participate.
• Inventory information — listings dealers submit or sync via feed, including photos, descriptions, and pricing.
• Website and application analytics — page views, searches, clicks, and interaction events that help us understand and improve the platform.
• Device information — device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and approximate technical characteristics collected by analytics.
• Approximate location — derived from your ZIP Code or IP address for regional market analysis and dealer matching. We do not collect precise GPS location unless you explicitly provide it.
• Communication preferences — your consent choices for email and SMS re-engagement, which you can change at any time.

How We Use Information

• Providing golf cart and LSV valuations.
• Generating and delivering valuation reports.
• Showing nearby inventory and dealer results.
• Matching consumers with participating dealers for purchases, trade-ins, and commercial/fleet needs.
• Processing and routing dealer leads, including marketplace inquiries and widget-originated leads.
• Operating the Trade-In Widget embedded on participating dealer websites.
• Providing Dealer Performance analytics to participating dealers about their own inventory and leads.
• Fraud prevention and platform security.
• Improving Golf Cart IQ, including valuation accuracy and user experience.
• Aggregated and de-identified market analysis (see below).
• Dealer onboarding and account management.
• Customer support and responding to your requests.
• Legal, security, and compliance obligations where required.

Aggregated and De-Identified Data

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve valuation models, market analysis, Market IQ, regional trend reporting, vehicle condition analysis, battery analysis, commercial/fleet insights, and overall platform performance. Aggregated market information does not expose private dealer financial information and does not personally identify individual consumers.

Dealer-Private Financial Data

Dealer-private lifecycle information — including acquisition cost, reconditioning cost, sold price, gross profit, and internal dealer notes — is private to that dealer and authorized Golf Cart IQ administration where permitted. This information is not publicly displayed and is not exposed to competing dealers. Access is controlled through row-level security. Aggregated or de-identified insights may be used only according to Dealer Terms and applicable permissions.

How Leads Are Handled

Leads you submit through the Golf Cart IQ marketplace (Browse Inventory, Dealer Profiles, Commercial & Fleet) are routed to the relevant participating dealer or dealers according to our marketplace matching rules. Leads you submit through a dealer's embedded Trade-In Widget belong to that originating dealer and are not resold to competing dealers. See our Widget Terms and Dealer Terms for details.

Communication and Consent

We send transactional communications (such as valuation reports you request) as part of providing the service. For marketing or re-engagement messages — including 30/60/90-day value-check emails — we require your explicit consent. You can grant or withdraw consent at any time from the re-engagement panel on your valuation report. SMS consent is handled separately from email consent where applicable. We do not send re-engagement messages without your permission, and unsubscribed users remain unsubscribed.

Data Retention and Your Choices

You may request access to your data, correction of your information, or deletion of your account and associated data where legally applicable. To submit a privacy request, use our Contact page. We will not automatically delete records needed for legitimate financial or legal obligations without appropriate handling. You can unsubscribe from re-engagement emails at any time by withdrawing consent in the re-engagement panel or by following instructions in the email.

Cookies and Tracking

Golf Cart IQ uses session and analytics cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand usage. We use standard analytics and advertising pixels (such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) to measure traffic and improve the platform. We do not use intrusive third-party advertising cookies that require a consent banner in most jurisdictions. Where consent is legally required for optional tracking, we will obtain it before setting those cookies.

Data Security

We protect sensitive data through row-level security and access controls. Dealer-private financial data, dealer leads, widget leads, consumer saved valuations, dealer subscriptions, and admin analytics are restricted to authorized users. Public APIs expose only approved public data.

Children's Privacy

Golf Cart IQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
